Margaret Tempest
1892 – 1982
This website has been created to keep alive the talented works of Margaret Tempest, Illustrator and Author.
Best known for her illustrations of the Little Grey Rabbit series by Alison Uttley, Margaret also published a number of other Children’s books including the Curley Cobbler series and Pinky Mouse.
Her wonderful drawings also feature in a number of other publications by well known authors.
Her skills have delighted Children all around the world for decades and although her books are not currently in print, there are plans by both the Margaret Tempest Estate and the Alison Uttley Trust to re-introduce a number of the Little Grey Rabbit books in the near future.
Little has been recorded about Margaret’s life and we would appreciate any information about her.
